Merging solid and soft textures in lighting.

A “lampshade” made of laminated felt or spun metal gently rests on top of the wood base without any glue or fasteners. The flexibility of fabric allows the shade to be removed easily but still conform to the proper shape when in place & the use of felt prevents the edge from fraying. Both the felt & solid wood components of Skirt are made with offcuts and waste material from larger projects.
